Once collected the vehicle is depolluted to the required enviromental standard.As you will see from the video the vehicle is placed into the car crusher which is just one step of the vehicle recycling process.

The car crusher is a piece of machinery used to compress the metal remains of a scapped car after it has been depolluted. Compressing them takes up less space when stored, or when transported to a metal recycling facility.

They can also be used to compact other forms of metal waste, such as machinery.

Useful Tips

You are required by law to inform the DVLA that your car has been scrapped. You can do this by sending Section 9 of the registration document (V5c) to the DVLA.
